Wake Audubon Society Monthly Lecture: Conical Bill of the Sparrow

  • Tuesday, November 14, 2017
  • 7:30pm - 9:30pm

Few things instill fear like spiders, snakes, and sparrows. In this evening’s program, Bird Curator and Wake Audubon Board member John Gerwin will cover the last of those—in any given year one could see up to 20 species of sparrows across NC. John will showcase those species you might find, tips on how to find and identify them, and highlights from a few studies done on several species in NC.

Wake Audubon Society Monthly Meetings are free and open to the public.  Join us as we discuss environmental issues, bird sightings, and ways to volunteer. The short business meeting is followed by a scientific program on conservation issues.  Refreshments are served.

Wake Audubon Society is an affiliate organization to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.  For more information on their programs and outreach efforts, please visit Wake Audubon Society.
