Wake Audubon Society Monthly Lecture: Botswana and South Africa Safari

  • Tuesday, April 12, 2016
  • 7:30pm - 9:30pm

Ever wonder what it would be like to take a tented traveling safari in Africa? Wake Audubon board member Larry Zoller will share his experiences from a safari to Botswana and South Africa.  Botswana is an arid country with a small human population and rich wildlife diversity.  See lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and a variety of birds that congregate near the Okavango Delta and the Choba River.

Wake Audubon Society Monthly Meetings are free and open to the public.  Join us as we discuss environmental issues, bird sightings, and ways to volunteer. The short business meeting is followed by a scientific program on conservation issues.  Refreshments are served.

Wake Audubon Society is an affiliate organization to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.  For more information on their programs and outreach efforts, please visit Wake Audubon Society.
