Lifelong Hike: Picture Creek

  • Wednesday, June 07, 2023
  • 7:00am - 3:00pm

We will hike through the world’s largest population of the federally endangered smooth coneflower in peak bloom during this visit to the Picture Creek nature preserve. This power line corridor through a unique diabase geologic area gives us a good sense of what the Piedmont prairies were like in earlier times.
