Lifelong Adventure: Mountain Birds & More

  • 9:00am Friday, May 19, 2017 - 7:00pm Sunday, May 21, 2017

Wear your hiking boots and bring your binoculars for a weekend of exploring the northern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina.  We’ll do birding at some prime bird locations all weekend, but will also enjoy the spring wildflowers at their peak, hunt for salamanders at night and bask under the starlit night sky (weather permitting).  We will visit several areas along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Elk Knob State Park, and other areas as time permits.  Great for birders but all nature lovers will enjoy this weekend.

Registration Information: Registration required. Fill out online, print and mail the Museum’s Registration Form and Health Form with payment.
