Lifelong Adventure: Mountain Birding

  • 9:00am Friday, May 20, 2016 - 7:00pm Sunday, May 22, 2016

Wear your hiking boots and bring your binoculars for a weekend of birding in the northern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina with the Museum’s research staff.  We will visit several areas along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Elk Knob State Park, and other areas as time permits.  For birders of all levels, brush up on your birding skills as we explore some beautiful mountain habitats.

Due to popularity of this field program, we are considering doing a second trip on May 23-25, so that all interested can participate.  When you register, please let us know your availability for the later trip dates.

Registration Information: Registration required. Fill out online, print and mail the Museum’s Registration Form and Health Form with payment. Registration deadline is two weeks prior to trip start date. Trips failing to reach the minimum registration numbers by the deadline date may be canceled. Please call to check on trip status if interested in registering after the deadline.
