Lifelong Hike: Hemlock Bluffs

  • Wednesday, February 17, 2016
  • 9:00am - 4:00pm

We will hike Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve and learn more about this disjunct population of the Eastern Hemlock and why it is here.  We will also learn why the Eastern Hemlock may join the American Chestnut in being eliminated as a common tree in our mountain forests.  Hike is along scenic Swift Creek in Wake County.
