Lifelong Adventure: Alligator River/Outer Banks Adventure

Join us for our weekend exploration of the 154,000 acre Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge in eastern North Carolina. We will ride through the refuge and other natural areas on the museum bus with frequent stops to look for birds and other wildlife. Some stops will include short to moderate walks along trails. Black bears are commonly spotted in this area. We will also explore some natural areas on the Outer Banks.

Registration information:  Registration is full for this program.
Registration deadline is two weeks prior to trip start date. Trips failing to reach the minimum registration numbers by the deadline date may be canceled. Please call to check on trip status if interested in registering after the deadline.

Details

  • Fee: $85 ($75 for Friends of the Museum). Fee includes transportation and instruction. Participant pays for lodging and meals.
  • Requirements: Minimum age 12. Minors must be accompanied by a registered adult.
  • Cancellation Notice: Refunds for trip cancellations less $25 processing will be given if cancelled one week or more in advance. No refunds for cancellations less than one week unless cancelled by Museum.
