    Gov. Mike Easley has appointed Bill Chameides of Durham and H. Kim Lyerly of Chapel Hill to the North Carolina State Museum of Natural Sciences Advisory Commission. Chameides is dean of the Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences at Duke University.
